The 5 Digital Skills Which You Need to Know -TECH Z

5 digital skills we need to learn

We're all busy. And it's no surprise that many of us are turning to digital tools to make our lives easier. But there's a dark side to this convenience: the more we use technology, the more we need to learn about it. That's why this week I'm sharing five skills you should be learning now: automation basics, password management, security measures and how to schedule meetings online without getting lost in a sea of Slack channels.

1. Automate your life

Automation is the key to a more comfortable and efficient existence, so get started by automating everything you can. If you're working for yourself, this will be easy: just write an app that does the job for you when it comes time to order things like coffee or groceries. Or if you work in an office setting, consider using something like Workflow or Zapier to create automated tasks that crop up throughout the day—like sending out those weekly email reminders about new clients or projects due next week. And once your finances are under control (or at least mostly in order), automate them even further by setting up automatic savings accounts every month so that all of those extra dollars go straight into savings accounts instead of spending right away!

On social media? Set up recurring posts on Facebook events that automatically post photos from different angles when people RSVP; or sign up with Buffer so that whenever someone likes one of your posts on Instagram or Twitter , they'll automatically be added as friends; alternatively: use Hootsuite today!

2. Manage your online activities with a password manager

A password manager is a tool that helps you to manage the passwords for different websites and applications. It helps you create, store and access your passwords in one place so you don’t have to remember them over and over again.

Why use a password manager?

  • To protect your personal information from being stolen by hackers or identity thieves. If someone gets hold of your username and password, they can use it to log into other accounts on the same site or even change their own accounts without any problem at all!

  • To keep track of important information like banking details, credit cards etc., which are easy targets when lost due to negligence (e.g., losing money while shopping online).

3. Focus on security

  • Focus on security

The importance of security, especially in the digital age, cannot be overstated. In fact, it's so important that we've dedicated an entire section to it! Security is something you should be doing on all fronts—not just one or two areas (like password security). Here are some ways you can improve your digital life by putting more emphasis on securing yourself:

  • Password protection: Change your passwords regularly and make them difficult to guess. Choose a different password for every account you use; this includes email accounts, personal social media accounts like Facebook and Twitter (which are connected to many other services), banking apps like PayPal & Stripe etc...

  • Social media safety tips: Do not post sensitive information publicly; do not accept friend requests from unknown persons; do not share any personal photos that may contain information about yourself with anyone else unless they request access via email first! This goes hand-in-hand with #1 above because if someone sees something they shouldn't see then they'll try harder next time because now there's something at stake - their own privacy has been compromised somehow...

4. Master the art of meeting scheduling

A calendar is the best way to manage your time and schedule meetings. It’s also useful for scheduling tasks, life events, and business activities.

If you have a smartphone or tablet, you can use the built-in calendar feature to view upcoming events on the device itself; however, if you don't have access to one of those devices (or even if you do), there are plenty of desktop applications available that will help keep track of all these important things!

5. Create a successful online collaboration

Collaboration is one of the most important skills that we can learn. If you're not a team player, it's time to start learning how to work together.

Here are some tips for how you can create a successful online collaboration:

  • Communicate clearly and honestly with your team members. Don't underestimate the power of communication—it's key in building trust among teammates and helping them understand each other better!

  • Respect each person's strengths and weaknesses; don't try to put someone down if they're not doing well at something because they may look up later on when there's no one else left who could help them out (which will eventually happen if everyone goes home early).

The digital world is changing faster than we can handle it.

The importance of learning new skills

It’s not just about being able to surf the internet and look up information, but also being able to adapt your digital life and manage your online activities.

Conclusion

We’re all in this together, and there are ways to help each other. If you want to learn more about these skills, maybe check out these books. We hope that this article has been helpful in reminding us of the importance of being well-versed in digital life—no matter what it is!
